Welcome to the 395th edition of Android Apps Weekly. The following are the headlines from last week.
- Netflix is testing its game features in Poland. Obviously, after you download the game from Google Play, Netflix is more like the launcher of the game. The company admits that these are very early things, so they will almost certainly change over time. Click on the link to learn more.
- The contract tracking APIs from Google and Apple have little impact on COVID-19. Only 26 states have created an application using the API, and most people in these states have never used the application. The API is really effective when used. Unfortunately, the problem is getting people to use it. There may be many factors that lead to low usage. Half of the countries have never had this choice. People don’t trust the security of Google or Apple. Many apps have a lot of errors or bad designs. And many people don’t take COVID-19 seriously. These plus many other reasons are most likely to lead to low usage and therefore low impact.
- Instagram is removing the popular swipe-up link in favor of link stickers. For most people, the change occurred on August 30. After that, you will no longer be able to swipe up the Instagram snapshot to follow the link. People can click on a sticker option. Clicking on the link label will take you to that website. The advantage is that even if you use link stickers, you can react and interact with the story, which is not possible with sliding links.
- Now that Wear OS has received real attention, developers have finally received push updates. For example, Spotify now finally allows offline playback from the Wear OS version of the app. This is nothing too magical. You only need a smartwatch equipped with Wear OS 2.0 or higher to get the update. After that, select some music, ready to use it offline, and then use it in this way.
- Google Play is completely revising the reviews in the Google Play store. The new reform limits the comments you see to the area where you live. For example, Americans will only see comments from other people in the United States. This has many advantages. For example, there are many applications that are popular in India but not effective in the United States. However, for some reason, they are still available in the United States. These apps have low ratings for American users because they don’t work well in the United States. It also displays comments based on device type (tablet and mobile) and other factors. From there, they protect it from all kinds of bad guys, make friends with other groups, and try to survive conditions such as extreme winters. There must be elements of survival and strategy. The game also includes 11 campaign chapters, cloud storage and achievements. It is priced at $8.99, but as of this writing, it is priced at $5.99. It has no microtransactions at all.
Galaxy Watch4 plug-in
Price: free

Joe Hindy / Android Authority
Galaxy Watch4 Plugin is a new application of Samsung. It allows users to manage Galaxy Watch 4 series devices through the Galaxy Wearables app. The plugin seems to work well, although I personally don’t have a Galaxy Watch 4, so I can’t test any features. The main complaint of users is that certain functions are only available on Samsung phones. This is an understandable complaint, and we hope Samsung will resolve it as soon as possible.
Mega Man X Diving
Price: Play for free
Mega Man X Dive is a new gashapon centered on the Mega Man universe. Players collect weapons and characters and upgrade as they progress. There are a bunch of weapons to unlock, and many more. The gameplay is also reminiscent of Mega Man. You can sprint, shoot, jump, etc. in battle. Even PvP is real-time because you are in battle. The game is far from perfect. Players have experienced crashes and some lagging games. It definitely needs some polishing, but the premise is actually interesting. The only long-term problem I can see is PvP, which turned into pay-to-win after a while.
Melon DS
Price: free

For a long time, DraStic has been the Nintendo DS emulator of choice. MelonDS is expected to increase some competition. It is the Nintendo DS simulator currently in the early development stage. The application includes basic knowledge of saving and loading states, light and dark themes, and fast forward support. It also supports hardware controllers and customizable software controller layouts. Again, it is in the early stages of development, so you will definitely encounter some errors. When it is fully started, we will see how it works.
Marvel’s future revolution
Price: Play for free
MARVEL Future Revolution is the latest mobile role-playing game in the MARVEL world. This game has an open world map, action RPG mechanism, and an almost endless list of tasks and tasks in true MMORPG fashion. Players create their own MARVEL superhero and play in a world with other MARVEL superheroes. To be honest, this is a refreshing breakthrough from the typical MARVEL mobile RPG. It is foreseeable that PvP will win money, because it takes a long time to obtain similar equipment through grinding. Otherwise, it is a reliable MMORPG with a different feel from most other characters in similar games.
