Samsung is still several months away from the release of the next-generation Galaxy S flagship product, but this has not stopped the leaker from hinting at our expectations for the phone.Twitter twitter Pre-creation Several key specifications of the rumored Galaxy S22 series have been announced, incorporating some new details we have heard.
Samsung Galaxy S22 series rumored specifications
First, the leaker revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S22 will be equipped with a 6.06-inch LTPS display, while the S22 Plus will be equipped with a 6.55-inch screen. It is expected that only the Galaxy S22 Ultra can get a 6.81-inch LTPO panel. Compared with the Galaxy S21 series, Samsung’s changes in this regard seem to be small.
Next, the leak revealed some new camera specifications for the Galaxy S22 Trio. Sources have previously stated that the Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus will be equipped with a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 12MP telephoto sensor. We now have the details of the Galaxy S22 Ultra camera configuration, indicating that the phone will be equipped with a 108MP main sensor, two 12MP telephoto cameras (S21 Ultra is 10MP) and another 12MP ultra wide-angle camera. It is rumored that the setting also includes laser autofocus.

The batteries that power the vanilla Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus this time may be slightly weaker. In contrast to the 4,000mAh and 4,800mAh batteries of the Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus, these phones can use 3,800mAh and 4,600 batteries, respectively. The Galaxy S22 Ultra is expected to be equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, which is the same as the current Ultra model. It is expected that the lineup will also skip cameras with insufficient displays.
Limited availability of Exynos models with AMD GPUs
Samsung is expected to equip the Galaxy S22 with a new and more powerful Exynos 2200 chipset. Its specialty is AMD graphics cards, which will bring ray tracing and variable rate shading to mobile phones.
Unfortunately, the latest leak claims that due to the low output of the chipset, the availability of the Exynos Galaxy S22 model will be very limited. Therefore, most markets should get a Snapdragon 898 version of the phone equipped with Adreno GPU.
