A customizable macropad that allows anyone to wag their tail

Posted on July 29, 2022July 29, 2022 by William

(Gili yankovitch) has always hoped to provide some kind of macro keyboard for all those combinations that kill bosses. He will hide his wizard robe sleeve when playing worldofwarcraft. After 17 years, he finally put down the challenge and built one. But in fact, this is an understatement, because paws is a customizable macro advertisement, which is used to end all customizable macro advertisements.
This thing is completely customized, but it’s also the same – but we mean in the best way. Claws can be made into any shape, and it’s easy. You ask, how is this possible? Well, each key has its own microcontroller.
Yes, each key has an attiny85 and a cute small ribbon cable. They form a token ring network to communicate with Arduino, which provides a keyboard interface for computers. In order to make things easier, [gili] built a simple programming UI, which can automatically identify the configuration and number of keys, and let users choose the most important part – the color of LED.
[gili] hope to combine all the skills learned since the beginning of the worst timeline in early 2020 – embedded software, CAD, electronics and PCB design. We want to add the network to this list, especially because it has found a good solution, i ² The slow speed of C and the limitations of communication between tiny85 and Arduino. Although (Geely) may have a high requirement at the beginning, he must have completed it. Want to put your paw on the design document? All you have to do is climb to GitHub.
If your interest in customization is more about what kind of programs to focus on, then be sure to look at keybon, which is one of the many awesome winners in our odd input and special peripheral competition.
