Sometimes, you don’t know what you want until you see it, which is as important for keyboard design as dessert cart. Believe it or not, this railway is the first keyboard design of [did]. We like what we see. Luckily it’s open source, huh?
Although we personally don’t like straight up orthogonal keyboards, this one looks very comfortable. We like to have an ISO carriage return and a regular size carriage return, although if it is our keyboard, we may put another carriage return on the left. This is the beauty of the whole open source keyboard. I can specify any number of keys with animal caps to enter. Another advantage is that the railway uses a semi normal keyboard cover, without the nonsense of some split keyboards of 1.25u.
All files and BOMs are available under the Creative Commons license on GitHub. By the way, this represents the maximum length of jlcpcb. [did] wants to add a numeric keypad, but it will make it too long. Because the picture was too big, we put our hands on the screen to test. These innermost 1U thumb keys seem to be placed far enough away from the spacebar without tension, but it is difficult to determine if you don’t try the real 1U thumb keys. (damn it, global shortages and transportation delays!)
Yes, there are various ways to make your own keyboard. We have even seen an all wood keyboard with a Scrabble board for its key cap.
