Amazon donated $1 million to stem education’s partnership with the Pacific Science Center in Seattle

Posted on May 10, 2022May 10, 2022 by William

The Pacific Science Center in Seattle is working with Amazon’s future engineers project to provide more interactive educational programming in science, technology, engineering and Mathematics (stem) for students from underserved and historically underrepresented communities.
Amazon is promoting this work through a $1 million grant, which will help pacsci expand its subsidized services to K-8 class I schools, where 40% or more of their students are classified as low-income schools. Special attention will be paid to the Seattle Metro Area in the next two years.
Future Engineer is Amazon’s global charity education program. The project was launched in 2018, focusing on computer science as the core element of stem discipline.
Will Daugherty, chief executive of pacsci, said that pacsci’s goal is to give 80000 students an educational experience designed to stimulate students’ curiosity, critical thinking and appreciation of science and careers.
