- ASUS has released a series of new laptops in its ProArt, Zenbook and Vivobook series.
- Upgrades include new AMD and Intel chipsets, OLED screens, and creator-centric additional features.
- These laptops will go on sale in the fourth quarter of 2021, with prices starting at $919.
ASUS will launch a series of new products this week, from motherboards to projectors. But it can be said that the star of the show is a complement to its laptop series. The company introduced new Vivobook, ProArt and Zenbook products in the existing bouquet, bringing OLED displays and creator-centric improvements.
ProArt Studiobook Pro series
First, ASUS added ProArt Studiobook Pro 16 OLED to the top of its roster. As the name suggests, this laptop is equipped with a 16-inch 4K OLED display with HDR and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. Asus claims that this is the first 16-inch OLED screen to debut on a laptop, and it will bring a peak brightness of 550 nits.
Added to the focus of its creators, the new rotating Asus Dial controller located in the upper left corner of the touchpad provides users with a more precise Adobe application. It currently supports Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro and After Effects.
As a workstation, buyers can choose the heavyweight AMD Ryzen 5000 H series or the third-generation Intel Xeon CPU. The graphics are provided by Nvidia Quadro RTX A2000 or A5000. The non-Pro version is equipped with Ryzen 5000 H series CPU or Intel Core i7 and Nvidia RTX 3070 or 3060 GPU. Any laptop can be equipped with up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM, as well as Thunderbolt 4 connection, HDMI 2.1 and SD Express 7.0 card reader.
The starting price of the Asus Studiobook Pro series is $1,999. Availability in North America is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2021.

Zenbook Pro series
Asus has also made changes to its Zenbook series. Like the new ProArt products, the updated Zenbook Pro Duo 15 OLED and Zenbook Pro 15 OLED are equipped with a 15.6-inch 4K main OLED display. However, Duo added an auxiliary 14-inch tilt ScreenPad Plus to improve multitasking.
Duo is equipped with Intel Core i9 CPU, preferred Nvidia RTX 3070 GPU and two Thunderbolt 3 ports. Zenbook Pro 15 OLED is equipped with Ryzen 5000 series CPU, with up to 16GB RAM and Nvidia RTX 3050Ti.
The new Asus Zenbook Pro series starts at $1,469 and will be available in North America starting in the fourth quarter of 2021. For those who want the Duo model, Asus did not provide suggested price or availability information for this particular model.
Vivobook Pro series
Finally, the Vivobook series also gained new features and hardware. The new Vivobook Pro 14X and 16X OLED models are equipped with a 16-inch 4K OLED display or a 14-inch 2.8K OLED. No matter which method you choose, ASUS claims that this is the first VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600 certified laptop. In addition to the screen, users can also choose Intel’s Core i7 H series or AMD’s Ryzen 5000 H series chipsets. Both can be matched with Nvidia RTX 3050Ti, 32GB RAM and 96Whr battery. For creators, part of the touchpad is also occupied by Dialpad, which is the touch version of the hardware Dial used on ProArt laptops. This should also provide finer control for ordinary Adobe users.
There are also cheaper body options. Vivobook Pro 14 and 15 OLED are equipped with 2.8K or 1080p screens, the same CPU options as its sibling products, and Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU.
