[adblu]’s Sennheiser urbanize headphones encountered a long-standing headphone problem – the cable was broken. These headphones are very good. Although there are problems with cable TV, they are worth trying. Replacing the cable has always been an option, but [adblu] decided to see – what does it take to make these headphones wireless? How much battery life can they get when they do this?
Equipped with csr8635 Bluetooth audio receiver adapter module and tp4056 charger, [adblu] continues to reconnect the inside of the headset. Csr8635 already has a loudspeaker amplifier inside, so it doesn’t need much effort to connect headphone speakers – except for general welding difficulties, because the soldering iron of [adblu] is too large for the small pad on BT module. They also found a 2400 MAH battery and installed it in the earphone after a lot of Dremel work.
The result was not disappointing – not only can everything be put into the headset, the headset also provides 165 hours of music playback at different volumes. As far as electronic devices are concerned, it’s really easy to refit headphones with Bluetooth, but you can spend more time designing a set of complex custom PCBs! If firmware hackers are more in line with your preferences, you can use csr8645 module to build, and then modify its firmware.
