Ordinary garden dogs can play longer than ordinary people. If you want your dog to keep moving without harming the pitcher, blankley’s automatic dog ball launcher may be exactly what you need.
The design is simple. The 3D print housing has a large funnel into which you can put the ball. Then, when a pair of rollers are rotated by a brush DC motor, the servo mechanism holds the ball. After two seconds, the servo releases the ball onto the roller, which pushes the ball out of the machine. A raspberry fur dog performs, controls the time of the ball launch, and changes the speed of the motor to change the distance of the ball at each launch.
The files on thingiverse are available to those who are eager to build their own files. If you’re good, you can even train your dog to pitch by yourself. We’ve seen similar builds before! Video after break.
