- The new Fitbit Charge 5 rendering has been leaked.
- The rendering shows the updated design of the tracker, including clearer lines and more colors.
Fitbit’s Charge series will be upgraded soon. Although Fitbit Charge 4 is still the best value-for-money fitness tracker, Fitbit Charge 5 seems to be launched soon. After the initial leaked images surfaced in July, a new set of renderings have now appeared.
From the prompter Evan Blas, The rendering shows a clear redesign of the Charge 5, reminiscent of the wider Fitbit Luxe. It replaced the sharp angles of the Charge 4 with clear lines, a new strap mounting system flush with the tracker’s body, and a new clasp.
Charge 5 has a shiny surface on both sides, extending along the length of the dial. This may be an extension of the Charge 4 capacitive touch system. We are not fans of Charge 4, mainly because it is difficult to control while running or in the gym. There are no visible physical buttons on these Charge 5 renderings.
Due to the predominantly black dial, we cannot be sure how far the display extends on the tracker’s face. We hope that Fitbit will continue to use OLED displays on Charge 5, but this time it supports color graphics. This will be the first time in the Charge series.
The three color schemes on display are also obvious. Available in charcoal, blue-gray and cream colors. If Fitbit also provides a special edition model with a unique strap at some point, we wouldn’t be too surprised.
It is worth noting that the rendering did not allow us to see the rear of the Charge 5 well. So we still don’t know which sensors will have characteristics. The basic specifications are still a mystery.
Fitbit Charge 5: When will it launch?
It is not clear when Fitbit Charge 5 will debut. The company usually hosts a release boom twice a year, so we won’t be surprised by the fall release. The dial in the rendering shows October 23, but it is unclear whether this is an implied or random date.
