Before you are ready to remove your current band, find a clean, soft work surface, such as a lint-free, non-abrasive cloth. This will minimize the risk of scratching the surface of the Apple Watch.
- With the Apple Watch face down, locate the two release buttons on the back of the case.
- Press one of the release buttons with your fingernail, and then gently release the corresponding strap from the Apple Watch.
- Repeat the second step with the opposite release button and the remaining band.
If your strap is a metal chain bracelet, divide it into two parts (using the quick release button inside the bracelet), and then remove it from the Apple Watch.
