Instagram will soon remove the “swipe up” link to support link stickers

Instagram is repealing the upward swipe link in its historic story. This popular feature is widely used by content creators and brands to direct users to their websites or online stores. Unfortunately, from August 30, the swipe up link will no longer exist.

according to Technology crisis, Instagram users who previously had access to the swipe-up link can now use the new link sticker.

Instagram first made an announcement about link stickers spot Author: Application Researcher Jane Manchun Wong. The company said it has been testing this new feature since June. So far, only a few users can access it, but a wider promotion will begin at the end of this month. Companies and creators that have been verified on the platform and have a sufficient number of followers will be able to add link stickers to their Insta stories.

Compared with sliding up links, link stickers have several advantages. Creators will be able to choose from a variety of styles, adjust the size of the stickers, and place them anywhere in the story.

Viewers can also react and reply to stories with link stickers. This was previously not possible on posts with a swipe up link.

Instagram is also considering expanding the link stickers to more accounts in the future.
