Is OnePlus teasing “foldable”, or is it just teasing Samsung?

  • OnePlus’ official Twitter account just shared a trailer that seems to show the OnePlus foldable phone or possibly a dual-screen phone.
  • The tweet contains exactly the same time and date as Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event when it launched the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
  • Either OnePlus is controlling Samsung, or a very important news will be released tomorrow.

Just now, on Twitter, the official OnePlus account shared some very mysterious things. tweets Include video clips that appear to be foldable phones or dual-screen phones. The text of this tweet simply reads “8:11:10 AM Eastern Time.”

Sharp-eyed tech fans will quickly recognize that the time/date is the same as Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event. So what happened here? Will there be a foldable OnePlus tomorrow? Or is OnePlus just hype?

Check out the tweets and videos below:

So far, we have seen zero leaks related to OnePlus foldable or dual display devices. OnePlus is not the best at keeping secrets, so we tend to believe that this is some simple deception. Maybe the company made a dual-display model to make it look like the Galaxy Z Fold 3? but why? Does OnePlus want to say that Samsung’s foldable phone is as good as two OnePlus phones together?

So far, OnePlus has not explained this tweet in any way. We need to wait and see how it turns out. For now, we will boil it down to some (obviously uninteresting) trolling. However, who knows: Maybe OnePlus will have a major announcement tomorrow to counter the Samsung incident.
