If you find yourself in need of a barbed wire fence, you may go to a hardware store. However, [q] shows us that you can make your own products at home with a simple machine.
The construction starts with a section of pipe in which the spiral groove is cut with an angle grinder. This pipe is a forming tool that shapes wire into a familiar link design. The pipe is then welded to the backing plate and a removable hand crank is installed, which can rotate a flat steel. Feed the wire into the spiral groove, turn the crank, and then take out the wire according to the required shape.
From there, the formed wire can be connected into a fence of any size. Of course, each end of the fixed fence is an exercise for readers, and both ends are sharp and unfinished. However, if you don’t like the chain fence sold by your local hardware store, or if you want to weave some fancy barbed wire yourself, this machine may be exactly what you need.
