Samsung’s newest gaming monitor behemoth, Odyssey Neo G9, will be available today through online and retail channels. This is the first time Samsung has introduced its Quantum Mini LED technology to its gaming monitors.
The monitor began accepting pre-orders on July 29, and will be on sale worldwide starting today. Neo G9 is an 2021 upgrade to the conventional G9 launched last year. The biggest difference is the switch from QLED to Quantum Mini LED.
It is the new flagship model in the Samsung Odyssey series, equipped with a 49-inch display panel with an ultra-wide “Dual QHD” resolution of 5,120 x 1,440 pixels. This is essentially like stacking two 1440p monitors side by side.

The promised static contrast ratio is 1,000,000:1 and supports HDR and HDR 10+.
In addition, the display can reach up to 240Hz, making it an ideal choice for PC gamers looking for top-of-the-line ultra-wide displays. You will get a 1000R curved VA panel certified by TÜV Rheinland and a grayscale response time of 1 millisecond. The monitor is compatible with G-Sync and also supports FreeSync Premium Pro.
