Mysterious Google products pass FCC

  • A mysterious Google product has just passed the FCC.
  • The list labeled it as “wireless streaming media device.” Could it be a new Chromecast or Stadia product?
  • It is certainly not a smartphone, but your guess is as good as ours at the moment.

The most obvious possibility is the new Chromecast. The Chromecast with Google TV was launched this time last year, so a sequel or minor changes to the device may be in progress. However, the model of this mysterious Google product GJQ9T has no similarities with any existing Chromecast.

This may also be a new product of Stadia. Maybe it is a non-Chromecast device strictly for Stadia use? Maybe it will be bundled with the Stadia controller instead of Chromecast Ultra or Chromecast with Google TV? It is certainly possible.

This may also be a Nest brand device. However, this seems to be the most unlikely, because Google has just announced a series of Nest products, so it is unlikely to have another product so soon.

See for yourself the FCC list related to the mysterious Google product and tell us your theory in the comments!
