Neat small motorboat built with old drone parts

Posted on September 2, 2021 by William

Multi-rotor drones often require quality and well-matched components to maintain balance and in the air. However, if you crash enough drones, you may find a lot of mismatched fragments around. that’s all, [Jason Suter] Decided to raid his trash can Use spare parts to build a small FPV motorboat for myself.

The motorboat consists of a 3D printed hull and a separate power module. The power module houses the flight controller and installs dual motors on the rear. They are equipped with three-blade propellers that can propel the boat and allow it to be steered with different thrusts instead of rudders. Then it is equipped with a camera so that it can be driven with FPV headsets.

The processing is still not perfect, and the water on the FPV antenna will cause some problems in the video transmission. However, this is an interesting project that makes good use of old parts. Of course, if you encounter vibration problems in your FPV project, please consider building a vibration absorbing bracket. Video after the break.
