Although OnePlus may not launch more new high-end phones in the United States this year, it will obviously not be the case in other markets. Android Center Just announced through an unnamed source, we expect the OnePlus 9RT to be launched sometime in October.
The new phone will be based on the earlier OnePlus 9R. It will still be equipped with a 6.55-inch AMOLED 120Hz display and the same 4,500mAh battery. However, OnePlus 9RT will have the “higher grade version” of the OnePlus 9R Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor mentioned in this article.
The report added that OnePlus 9RT will get some camera improvements. It will include the 50MP Sony IMX766 as its main camera, and the 48MP Sony IMX586 camera on the OnePlus 9R.
However, the most interesting aspect of this new phone is that it will reportedly be the first OnePlus device equipped with OxygenOS 12. The Android 12-based operating system will have an appearance similar to Oppo’s ColorOS skin. According to reports, OxygenOS 12 will also include some new features, including floating windows, theme shops and additional privacy features, such as personal safes, which allow users to protect files in password-protected folders.
There is no news on the price tag of the OnePlus 9RT, but the OnePlus 9R is currently priced at 39,999 rupees (approximately US$538) in India.
