Is Philo TV worth it?
Compared with many other Internet-based TV services, you can get more than 65 live TV channels for only $25, which is very cost-effective. However, the service has some limitations. It does not have any live sports channels. It also has only a few live news channels and no major channels like CNN, Fox News or MSNBC. Major entertainment channels such as TNT, TBS, Disney Channel and Cartoon Channel are also unavailable. HBO, Cinemax and Showtime are not provided as add-ons. Finally, local channels are not part of the lineup.
If you are not interested in live sports, and you can broadcast live without watching some major news and entertainment channels, Philo TV provides a large number of live TV programs for very little money. However, if you want more channels, you should look for alternative live TV streaming services.

A big advantage of Philo TV is its Cloud DVR function. You can record live TV shows and movies through the service, and save them for up to a year through the cloud server. Currently, there is no limit to the number of programs or movies you can save on the Cloud DVR function. You can also replay any content shown on live TV channels in the past 72 hours.
You can stream on three devices simultaneously on one account. In addition, each account supports up to 10 profiles, so you can let your family and friends share your account. Each profile can have its own saved programs and viewing history. In addition to all live TV channels, Philo TV customers can also watch over 60,000 hours of on-demand movies and TV shows.
The Philo Android app can also be used as a remote control for services on Chromecast, Android TV, and Philo TV devices. This support will be added to iOS apps in the future.
