Goh received a message saying that his first test mission from Project Mew has already begun. Satoshi asked what he was talking about, and Goh read what happened. The two found that Goh could choose any Pokemon he wanted for trial. Goh found the task of collecting the golden scales of Ugamos. Xiaozhi didn’t know what this meant, but Sakuragi told them that this was the key to the mission. Sakuragi tells Kikuna to display the index data on the main monitor. Kikuna discovered that Ugamoth is Sun Pokemon: Bug/Fire Type.
It grabbed a cocoon formed by a raging flame, and had six wings scattered its ashes and scales, ignited a sea of flames, and burned the surrounding area. Satoshi Nakamoto wants to know if these scales are golden. Sakuragi reminds the boys that they must figure this out and complete the task. Goh scrolls through his index data to find the places with the most information about Augamos. They found it was a dessert in a state resort and decided to go there. They realized that this was where Goh caught Golugh in the Titan Ruins.

The title of the episode is “Trial Mission: The Golden Scales of Ugamos”. Goh and Satoshi have arrived at the Titan ruins in Isshu to try Project Mew’a’s first Trail Mission. The two met with the chief and told him why they were here. The chief told the two that the trial had ended a few days ago because of an accident. Satoshi Nakamoto wanted to know what happened. Cheif revealed that there are Pokemon Hunters nearby and they are using strange methods to capture Pokemon. But his excavation team made a fascinating discovery related to Ugamoth. They went to learn about Augamos, and the chief told the history of Augamos.

Satoshi wanted to know if Ugamoth was the god of fire, and Goh realized that the anger of the mountain meant a volcanic eruption. They think Augamos may be in the volcanic area. The chief added that a small town was established during the gold rush near the ruins, and when the volcano erupted, it was sealed off. The two went out to find out. Then they arrived at the small town that was falling apart, wondering if anyone was still living there. Satoshi Nakamoto noticed a volcano. They reached the tunnel they used to mine gold. They decided to enter, but the Bat Pokemon scared them.
Satoshi commented that it was Koromori. Goh encountered a Dangoro Rock-type Pokémon discovered a hundred years ago in the seismic cracks in the exposed rock layer. They decided to fight it, and Goh defeated Dangoro using the water system. Inteleon used sniper shooting and they managed to capture it. But a group of Dangolo chased them. Later they encountered various Pokémon and fought with them. Pokémon hunters appear and start stealing eggs and Pokémon because they want to make a fortune. Goh and Satoshi stopped them after a fierce battle.
