- A new Samsung foldable prototype was exhibited at IMID 2021.
- The device can be folded twice, unlike the foldable devices we have seen that only folded once.
- It may take years for us to consider it as a truly marketable product.
We are now officially using Samsung’s third-generation foldable mobile phone. However, so far, everything we have seen from the company (and its competitors) has only been flipped once. Why is there no two discount?
Samsung seems to be under development (h/t Helical gear). A new Samsung foldable prototype is currently on display at IMID 2021 (International Conference on Information Display). You can see the device above, or view the YouTube video below:
Unfortunately, the video does not show that the device is actually folded. However, it is obvious that it is based on the design of existing Galaxy Z Fold devices (such as Galaxy Z Fold 3), so it is easy to use your imagination.
Samsung calls this foldable technology “multi-folding” and calls this specific product Samsung Flex In & Out. Obviously, if it even enters the market, it will not be a market name.
Speaking of which, don’t hold your breath because you will get such a Samsung foldable phone soon. It may take years to enter the store-if it really exists.
