Most makerspace and hackerspace are open to the public one night a week or every month to attract new users. Most members just write their names on a piece of tape. Madison wants to do something extra. What better way to get people interested in your “space” than to put on something useful from it?
The badge runs on attic 45 and uses three 8 × 8 super bright LED matrix scrolling [Madison] name. It is powered by a miniature lithium-ion battery, and the battery voltage can be increased to 5 volts. This design shows a lot of skills, especially design. We like the appearance of this badge, from pink screen to font. One of the most difficult things in design is to find fonts that work well together. We think (Madison)’s choice is wise. Be sure to check its operation after rest.
No matter where you go, customizing your name badge is a great way to start a conversation. This is an animated effect using El lines and LED lights, lit in order.
