The problem Samsung faces this year is the existence of the regular Galaxy S21. It is only $100 more expensive than the Galaxy S20 FE and offers many very similar specifications. Samsung may paint itself as a corner, and the Galaxy S21 FE may end up being just a Galaxy S21 with very subtle changes.
With all this in mind, below you will find all the information we have known about the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE so far. Be sure to bookmark this page! As the release date approaches, we will update it with new rumors and confirmed information.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE
Samsung has not officially confirmed that it will launch a device called Samsung Galaxy S21 FE this year. However, there is a lot of information to ensure that it is a definite bet.
Finally, we saw a leaked roadmap of Samsung’s 2021 product release plan, in which Galaxy S21 FE is on the list. The roadmap indicates that the release date may be August 19, 2021. This coincides with the company’s release of the Galaxy S20 FE (September 23, 2020). Remember, Samsung launched the main Galaxy S21 series this year much earlier than in previous years, so it makes perfect sense to advance the launch of FE by one month.
All these previous leaks led to the FCC list on June 29 and the Bluetooth SIG list on August 13, which appeared to be the Galaxy S21 FE. For now, we can safely bet that we will see the release of Samsung Galaxy S21 FE in August this year.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE: Design

Last year, the Galaxy S20 FE looked a lot like the Galaxy S20 series. This year, we hope to see Samsung do the same in the 2021 iteration.
It is worth noting that the overall size of the phone looks slightly larger than the Galaxy S21. The size of this phone is 155.7 x 74.5 x 7.9 mm, which is between the Galaxy S21 (151.7 x 71.2 x 7.9 mm) and the Galaxy S21 Plus (161.5 x 75.6 x 7.8 mm).
A few weeks after the Hemmerstoffer leak, the continuous leaker Evan Blass added more renderings. These show the various color schemes that may be available:
Please note that the Galaxy S20 FE has received six color combinations. So far, we have only seen five color combinations.
Recently, Blass also shared a short film about the Galaxy S21 FE from various angles. Take a look below:
Except for the color palette, the Galaxy S21 FE looks very similar to the Galaxy S21 series (except for the Galaxy S21 Ultra, of course). Unfortunately, Samsung does not seem to restore the headphone jack, which is disappointing but not surprising.
Interestingly, Samsung may have leaked the Galaxy S21 FE in an Instagram post that was deleted on August 10. The phones in the promotion seem to match the leaked phone pictures we have seen so far.
On August 20th, the 3D model of the Galaxy S21 FE had no doubt about the design of the phone. Check the above.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE: Specifications
David Immel/Android Authority
We are getting closer and closer to the expected release date of the Galaxy S21 FE. So we started to get a good understanding of what the specifications might look like.
One thing we heard is that the Galaxy S21 FE may not get the same battery as this year’s Plus model, which is what happened last year. Instead, it looks like it may have a 4,500mAh battery. This makes it 500mAh larger than the Galaxy S21 but 300mAh smaller than the Galaxy S21 Plus. The FCC list we mentioned also indicates that it can include 45W wired charging, which will be a huge change for the series (Galaxy S21 Ultra is the only phone with these charging speeds).

A big question is whether the Snapdragon 888 processor will be included in the Galaxy S21 FE. Fortunately, the aforementioned FCC list indicates that it will be added.
Recently, a list on the Chinese certification website TENAA confirmed many of these rumors. It also revealed the camera specifications, which seem to be roughly the same as the Galaxy S20 FE and Galaxy S21: 12MP main camera, 12MP ultra wide-angle and 8MP telephoto.
Finally, a strange rumor is the relationship between the Galaxy S21 FE and the Note series. Samsung confirmed that there will be no Note phones in 2021, but Evan Blass believes that S21 FE may replace Note. Now, this may just mean that Samsung will invest the same resources behind the S21 FE as the Note phone. But this may also mean that S21 FE is a fake follow-up product to Note 20. There are a lot of questions!
Pricing and availability
David Immel/Android Authority
The price of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will be one of its most important features. It even needs to be cheaper than the vanilla Galaxy S21. The Galaxy S21 starts at $799—the Galaxy S20 FE starts at $699—Samsung doesn’t have much room for maneuver this year.
So far, we have seen a rumor related to price.according to Korean herald, Samsung may price S21 FE at 700,000 to 800,000 won (about 630 to about 720 US dollars) in its domestic market. If true, this would be a significant drop from the 899,800 won (approximately US$809) Korean release price of the Galaxy S20 FE. Of course, there is no guarantee that similar price drops will occur in other markets. Although this certainly shows that Samsung is doubling down on its efforts, it launched a value-driven approach last year.
As for usability, Samsung is usually very good at providing its high-end equipment globally. However, continued global chip shortages may cause trouble for Samsung’s plans. In fact, there are rumors that the company can only launch the Galaxy S21 FE in the US and Europe. Another rumor suggests that production may also be delayed. Hope this will not cause too many problems!
