- A52s 5G is an upgraded version of the basic A52 5G.
- The new features are the faster Snapdragon 778G processor and the awesome mint color.
- It will be launched in the UK on September 3.
Samsung announced the A52s 5G on Tuesday, which is a minor update to the original A52 5G, introducing a faster processor and a new Awesome Mint color scheme.
A52s 5G is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chip, which replaces the original 750G. The 778 should be powerful enough to handle 4K HDR video. The awesome mint color joins the existing black, white and violet options.
The general specifications of this phone include a 6.5-inch, 120Hz Super AMOLED display, and four rear cameras with wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle, telephoto and macro lenses, but only the wide-angle lens has optical image stabilization. Similarly, although the wide-format camera sensor is rated at 64 megapixels, for macro photography, the sensor size is reduced to 5 megapixels. The front-facing selfie camera is a 32-megapixel unit.
Other highlights include a 4,500mAh battery with 25W fast charging, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and IP67 dust and water resistance. The basic phone has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage space, and supports microSD cards up to 1TB. The 8GB/256GB version should be available, but Samsung did not disclose when or at what price.
So far, this phone seems to be used only in the UK, although this may change. Before the release date on September 3, pre-orders will begin on August 24 at a price of £409.
