  • The electric car company announced Tesla Android during the Tesla Artificial Intelligence Day event this week.
  • Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that the prototype is scheduled to be launched in 2022.
  • The 5’8″ robot will be designed to be responsible for “dangerous, repetitive, and boring tasks.”

Tesla has installed artificial intelligence in its popular electric cars and is taking this aspect to a new level. At the end of the company year Tesla Artificial Intelligence Day In the speech on Thursday, the release of Tesla Android surprised the audience.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that humanoid robots are being made to work in a world created and built by humans. It should take on tasks that many people might consider dangerous, boring, or repetitive. The robot itself is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 125 pounds. Its head will be used as a display for displaying information. It will also be equipped with eight cameras.

Musk said that the artificial intelligence programming in Tesla’s Android will be an extension of artificial intelligence in his cars, which he calls “semi-intelligent robots on wheels.” Musk added that such a robot should use neural network programming to handle tasks such as picking groceries or turning a wrench, without the need for line-by-line training. He believes that in the future, human sports activities will become a choice, not a necessity.

Of course, if they succeed in taking over jobs from humans, such robots will have a huge impact on society. For decades, such futuristic scenes have been the material for a large number of science fiction stories, movies and TV shows.

In a brief introduction, Musk said that Tesla’s Android design is “friendly.” However, he hinted that some people might be afraid of such devices. He joked that people should be able to run past robots. Musk said that humans should also “very likely overwhelm it.” In other words, it will not be a Terminator robot (we hope).
