  • Hulu’s first price change in more than two years will occur on October 8.
  • The service price of the ad-supported plan will increase by $1 to $6.99 per month, and the monthly price of the ad-free plan will increase by $1 to $12.99.
  • The price of the Disney Plus-Hulu-ESPN Plus bundle will not be affected.

Hulu subscribers will have to pay more next month to access the streaming service. deadline report Starting on October 8, the price of the service will increase by one dollar. This means that the ad-supported plan will increase from $5.99 to $6.99 per month, and the ad-free tier will increase from $11.99 to $12.99 per month.

Fortunately, the price increase will not affect anyone in the Hulu Plus live TV program. It will not affect the price of the Disney Plus-Hulu-ESPN Plus bundle. Hulu with ads is $13.99 per month, and Hulu without ads is $18.99 per month. As ESPN Plus recently increased its price by $1 per month, this makes the Disney Plus-Hulu-ESPN Plus bundle more cost-effective than before.

Hulu currently has 42.8 million subscribers, all located in the United States. The current advertising-supported version of $5.99 per month is one of the most cost-effective deals in a single service streaming. It will be interesting to see if Hulu loses some subscribers after this change. This is the first change in Hulu prices since the beginning of 2019.
