The old boat turned into a warm floating sauna

Posted on March 29, 2022March 29, 2022 by William

Sauna is a warm, warm and fresh place, but few of us have a sauna at home. [Linus strothmann] decided to build his own boat, using an old boat as the perfect foundation for his steamy figure.
Finding the right boat is the first challenge; The ship shall be large enough to accommodate the expected number of passengers all year round. If you want to use it in a place with ice in winter, it is best to use a steel hull ship. [Linus] spent less than 1000 euros to find a steel hull ship less than 8 meters long and began his project.
The ship was demolished and fitted with high-quality glass windows, which can withstand the steam and high temperature inside. A stove is installed to generate steam. For safety reasons, the sauna on board is designed with multiple entrances and exits. Thermal insulation is also installed to help maintain indoor heat.
The result is a floating sauna, which is an absolute pleasure to use in winter. Floating on the lake, you can breathe in steam, soak quickly in the cold water, and then return to the room for heating. [Linus] hopes to install a small engine soon so that during the steam conference, the ship can sail to the lake for a better view.
This is not the first mobile sauna we have seen; Last year, a trailer based design added a lot of color to these pages. However, if you are making your own steaming figure, please share your work with us immediately!
