Kaneki Ken is a student living in Tokyo. When his friend suggested that he date Kamishiro Rize, he went to the cafe to meet his friend Nagachika Hideyachi. Rize and Kaneki have the same interest in books. Therefore, Xiu Ba thinks they will be a good pair. Later, when Ken and Ryze went out to eat, he discovered that she was a ghoul. She took him to a quiet construction site and tried to attack him. By chance, a bunch of pipes fell on Rize. Ken managed to survive but suffered fatal injuries. After a while, when Jin Mu opened his eyes, he found himself in the hospital. The doctor explained to him that he had transplanted an organ in his body and he would be fine.
After being discharged from the hospital, Jin Mu returned home, but found that he could not eat normally. When he takes a bite, he will spit it out because of the taste of the food. Later on the radio broadcast, he discovered that ghouls are characterized by being unable to eat normal food and relying solely on human flesh to survive. Jin Mu was rejected.
