What to expect
The best-selling fantasy novel series has never been adapted into a movie or TV before, so to some extent, this will be uncharted territory.
Although there are many Wheel of Time video games and comics, there are even soundtracks inspired by books. Despite many attempts in the past 20 years, the early series and movies have never made it to the screen.
Apart from the overall darkness and epic tone of the entire series, the trailer did not provide much information. (Although fans of these books may recognize glimpses of certain characters, steeds, Ring of Tamil Lin, etc.)
Between the “Wheel of Time” and “Lord of the Rings” TV series, Amazon is drastically filling the gap left by Game of Thrones.
Of course, with Netflix’s “Witcher” and HBO’s future “Game of Thrones” spin-offs, this field may soon become a bit crowded.
You can check the Wheel of Time when it premieres on Amazon Prime Video on November 19.
