Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 is a hot one

The Mi MIX series usually focuses on design, and Mi Mix 4 seems to continue this trend. Xiaomi’s latest Mix phone is the company’s first phone with an under-screen selfie camera and a ceramic back cover.

The phone is not just a slick design, but does Android Authority Do readers think Xiaomi has success at hand? We asked our readers what they thought of Mi Mix 4. Here is how they voted.

The vote was released on August 10, and 2,000 votes were accumulated in the process. Fortunately for Xiaomi, the vast majority of respondents (84.75%) said that this new phone is indeed “hot”.

We cannot say that we are surprised by this result, because this phone does bring considerable benefits. There are 120Hz FHD+ OLED screen, Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset, flexible triple rear camera (including 5x periscope camera), 4,500mAh battery, 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

However, only more than 15% of respondents opposed Mi Mix 4. At least one reader commented that the more expensive Mi 11 Ultra or the China-only Mi 11 Pro may be more cost-effective. Ultra and Pro provide higher quality paper cameras, larger batteries, IP68 ratings instead of the IP53 ratings on Mix 4, and higher resolution screens.

Nevertheless, Xiaomi previously confirmed that this is a China-only version, so maybe it should consider releasing it globally? Again, the company is currently unable to keep up with China’s demand.

  • oracle: It must be hot. Good-looking, tick for me. In this case, I can ignore that there is no headphone jack.

  • Wang Watt: Well, this is only China, so it needs to be imported. Its camera array is relatively poor, the display resolution is low, and the waterproof rating is lower than that of the Mi11 series, so I am a little confused. If you are not obsessed with the camera under the display, I guess Mi11 Pro is a better import choice?
  • Bryant Allen: I bought oppo Find X2Pro and Note 20 Ultra. The screen-to-body ratio of these two phones exceeds 90%. This phone looks good, but I found nothing on Find X2Pro or Note 20 Ultra.
