2021 Sony Playstation event showcased Spider-Man 2 and more

Sony held another virtual PlayStation Showcase event today and provided many new trailers and announcements for its PlayStation 5 game library as promised. The following is a quick glance at what was revealed today.

Marvel’s Wolverine

Insomniac Games, the maker of the popular Spider-Man PlayStation game, is making another Marvel-based game based on everyone’s favorite mutant Wolverine. No other details about the game were disclosed.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

Insomniac is also working on a complete sequel to its popular Spider-Man game. It will expire in 2023 and will bring Peter Parker and Miles Morales Spider-Man together.

God of War: Ragnarok

Sony’s Santa Monica studio team is working on the next game in the God of War action-adventure series. This is the first trailer to show the gameplay. We will again see Kratos and his son Atreus working together, and there is also some tension between them. No release date yet.

Grand Prix 7

Sony’s popular racing simulation game has finally landed on PlayStation 5. You can drive a supercar in the game when it is released on March 4, 2022.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake

Aspyr Media is reshaping the classic Star Wars RPG originally developed by BioWare. There is no news about the release date, but it seems to be exclusive to PS5.

Eve plan

This third-person action game from Shift Up Second Eve Studio centers on a young woman who tries to save the devastated future earth by fighting some truly strange alien monsters.

Little Tina’s Wonderland

We have a new understanding of this “Borderland” derivative game from Gearbox Software and 2K Games, featuring gameplay for the first time. It will expire on March 25, 2022.

This third-person action game from Square Enix will be launched in the spring of 2022. The protagonist is a young woman from today’s earth who is suddenly transferred to a fantasy field. She must use the power of her smart gloves to defeat the enemies of this world.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Extraction

We got another new trailer from Ubisoft’s next Rainbow Six tactical shooter because your team is fighting an alien invasion. It will expire in January 2022.

Allen Awakening Remake

Remedy is remaking its classic black action game for new consoles including Playstation 4 and 5. The game will be released on October 5.

Grand Theft Auto 5

Rockstar Games finally provided us with the PS5 version of its popular open world crime game and the multiplayer component Grand Theft Auto Online in March 2022.

Tokyo Ghost Line

We once again caught a glimpse of this long-awaited Bethesda Softworks horror action game. It will arrive in the spring of 2022.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy

We also have another trailer from Eidos Montreal adapted from the Marvel Comics Space Opera series. It will be released on October 26, 2021.

Vampire Costume Party-Blood Hunt

Let’s take a look at this free royal battle game based on a vampire-themed RPG. It will be launched by developer Sharkmob sometime in 2021.

Endless loop

Arkane Studios and Bethesda Softworks released the final trailer for their time-loop-themed first-person shooter game. Expires next week, September 14.

Kid A Mnesia exhibition

This is a strange trailer for some kind of game by the rock band Radiohead. Publisher Epic Games will launch it sometime in November.

Chia

This kid-themed open-world tropical game developed by developer Awaceb allows players to enter and control any animal they can find. It should expire sometime in 2022.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Series

Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4 will be remade for PS5 and PC in early 2022. It will contain the main game and expansion pack, and will be launched in early 2022.
