The second season covers sexual misconduct and race in the media and COVID-19.
Although the first season is definitely racially targeted, the second season of “Morning Show” seems to focus on the issue of white hosts as much as the first season, just as the first season focuses on gender inequality and abuse in the workplace. The morning show’s Daniel Henderson (Desean Terry) screamed UBA’s systemic racism in the trailer because he continued to be given up for promotion.
In keeping with the show’s focus on current affairs, the second season will also address the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, although it is unclear how it will proceed.

The shooting delay of the second season of “Morning Show” has actually become a topic litigation. Always Smiling Productions has filed a lawsuit against Chubb National Insurance Company. The lawsuit alleges that although Chubb has paid $1 million due to the government’s mandatory work stoppage, the company still owes more than $100 million in actor fees-the big stars of the series have huge salaries.
Other Apple TV Plus series affected by the discontinuation include See, Foundation, Servant, For All Mankind, Lisey’s Story and Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet.
What can you expect?

Apple did not disclose much information about the second season of “The Morning Show.” However, the official season trailer did reveal some. It also left a lot of questions.
Here are some tips and open questions in the trailer:
- Where is Mickey? He seems to be hiding in a beautiful and scenic place. Is he trapped somewhere because of COVID-19? After he fell out of favor, did he hide to avoid media investigations?
- Why did Alex leave UBA? When we saw her for the last time, Alex was facing the culture of abuse that allowed Mickey to thrive. Before being cut off, she and Bradley made their position on the radio. Did she resign? If she was fired, why was Bradley not fired? Getting more information about Alex’s departure will help add some much-needed background to Corey’s efforts to win her back.
- Who is Juliana Marguerite playing? The emergency room and good wife actress seems to be the executive officer of a rival show. She encouraged Bradley to stand up for herself and ask for more. But what is her motive, why doesn’t Alex like her?
- What is Corey doing? This UBA executive seems to be very talented and can argue with high-level officials, and now he is fighting for the “War of the Soul of the Universe”. What could it be?
Regarding the second season of “Morning Show”, this is all we know, and there are some things we don’t know. You can view it on Apple TV Plus on September 17.
