Expedia group announced the recruitment of two senior executives. Katrina lane, former vice president of twitter, and Lauri metro, former executive vice president of CBS studios, served as senior vice president of global customer engagement and senior vice president of global public relations and social media respectively.
Ryan served as vice president of Amazon for more than five years. Metro has worked in CBS’ communications studio for over 17 years.
Earlier this year, Expedia added six technology leaders and subsequently hired them. After leisure tourism slowed down during the 2019 coronavirus disease epidemic, the Seattle based tourism giant’s revenue increased by 81% to US $2.2 billion in the first quarter. Earlier this year, Expedia launched a new technology platform to provide an online infrastructure for other companies to build their own tourism business.
