Getaround provides 24 / 7 non-contact access to shared personal vehicles for only one hour. The company facilitates transactions between car owners and people who need a car through its app, which allows car renters to find, pay for and unlock cars. Getaround reserves 40% of the income for each rent; The rest belongs to the owner, who can make money from other unused assets.
Beckyedmonds, the project manager of sdot shared transportation, said: “we are glad that more people in Seattle can use this mode of transportation, and will continue to strive to create an environment where innovative transportation companies can try new ideas and innovative business models to benefit the public.”.
Headquartered in San Francisco, getaround was founded in 2009 and is currently active in more than 950 cities around the world.
