- A new Google Pixel 5a advertisement spent two minutes talking about its 3.5mm headphone port.
- This ad is interesting and highlights the circular nature of the port.
- However, Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will not have this port. This is a very strange thing.
Pixel 5a has many things to like. It is the follow-up product of last year’s Pixel 4a (or Pixel 4a 5G, whatever you choose). It has an IP rating, a good 700 series chipset, dual-lens rear camera, and 5G connectivity (natural). Check out our full review to learn more.
Oh yes, did we mention that it has a headphone jack? The Google Pixel 5a has a headphone jack. Did you know it has a headphone jack? I hope so, because it is true. A gorgeous headphone jack.

My repetitive writing there is similar to New ads from Google, As shown above. The two-minute ad was all about the headphone jack of the Pixel 5a. This is very interesting and of course a unique way to push smartphones to consumers, but when you know that the flagship Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will officially not have this port, it will become a bit awkward.
If Google is ready to make a complete ad for this, then it is such a cool and indispensable feature, why must more expensive phones not have it?
Obviously, we are here screaming at the wind. Most smartphone industries believe that flagship phones do not have a headphone jack, while budget-conscious phones do. We don’t agree–and you don’t agree–but that’s how it is. However, it would be great if the company did not wipe it in front of us. Bad form, Google.
