- Xiaomi revealed the MIUI 12.5 enhanced version update.
- It brings performance improvements and background application adjustments.
- It also provides more than 300 system and system application repairs.
Xiaomi’s MIUI Android skin is one of the more feature-rich skins, offering everything from scrolling screenshots and dual apps to super wallpapers and customizable themes. Unfortunately, one of the biggest issues we noticed is that performance and stability can vary from device to device.
Now Xiaomi has Announce MIUI 12.5 enhanced version is updated in China, it only focuses on bringing quite a lot of bottom-level changes.
First, the company stated that read/write performance dropped by less than 5% after 36 months. It said that this was mainly due to improvements in defragmentation. Xiaomi added that it has also identified 51 scenarios that need to be optimized. In these use cases, the average power saving is 8%, and the CPU usage drops by 15%.
We also got the so-called “atomic memory” feature, which should allow users to keep more apps in the background without having to reload them when they are reopened. Check out the company’s comparison of Mi 10 Ultra and Huawei P40 Pro.
Finally, the manufacturer stated that 160 system problems and 224 system application problems have been fixed. Therefore, we hope that any major system problems you encounter will be resolved with this update.
There is no news about the global launch of the MIUI 12.5 enhanced version, but Chinese users will get the update from August 13. The main devices expected to be updated include Mi Mix 4, Mi 11 series, Mi 10 series, Mi 10 Ultra, Redmi K40 series, Redmi K30 Pro and Redmi K30S.
On the one hand, we are a bit disappointed to see that this update does not add user-oriented features to MIUI. But on the other hand, we are very happy to see that Xiaomi’s focus is arguably the biggest pain point of MIUI in 2021.
