Telemedicine giant Amwell acquires Portland medical technology startup Conversa

National Telemedicine Service Provider Anwell Said it would acquire a health technology start-up company located in Portland, Oregon dialogue and Yinyun Health.

dialogueFounded in 2014, it sells platforms tailored to different medical conditions, enabling medical teams to communicate with patients remotely. After COVID-19 increased demand for the service, the company raised $8 million at the beginning of the year.

Conversa also helps healthcare providers automate text-based conversations and other management tasks before, during, and after patient visits.

Anwell Say It will use Conversa’s patient analysis and engagement tools to improve customer experience and results.

Murray BrozinskiThe CEO of Conversa Health stated that the transaction will help “create a future hybrid care delivery model.”

Amwell stated that it acquired Conversa and SilverCloud, a digital platform that caters to mental health, for approximately $320 million in stock and cash. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of the third quarter.
