You tell us: Most people think Google Pixel 5a is hot

The arrival of Google Pixel 5a may be overshadowed by the early exposure of the Google Pixel 6 series. The mid-range mobile phone has many improvements over its predecessor. But while it seems a balanced outlook on paper, is the Pixel 5a hot?

We posed this question to our readers in a recent poll. This is the result.

Google Pixel 5a: Is it hot?

result

More than 1,300 votes were obtained in this poll. Most of our readers think that the Pixel 5a is really “hot”. Less than 61% of readers chose this option. However, not everyone feels this way. 39.1% of readers have different opinions.

For those who are concerned about the negatives, Pixel 5a still uses a 60Hz display, lagging behind mobile phones in its price range. You also don’t get chipset upgrades, RAM/storage upgrades, or main camera sensor improvements. Essentially, if you have a Pixel 4a, there are not many reasons to upgrade.

But what does the reader want to say?

Your comment

  • Andres_1: If Google adds a screen of at least 90 Hz, it may be a consistent “popular” result.
  • Nadu: Imo Pixel 5a is just another mediocre Google phone. However, if you are looking for a pure Android experience in the market and don’t want to go bankrupt or want to upgrade from Pixel 1 or 2, then please buy it.
  • Saint John from Des Moines: Odds are higher than 90%. I will still choose 6 Pro this fall… But I must admit that 5a has impressed me as a budget option, so my chances of saving me are very slim. Then just do it.
  • Farhan Ahmed Tajudin: Absolutely hot for me. It’s time we have a Pixel phone with a headphone jack and IP rating. I don’t care much about the unchanged chipset, it will still be fast in 2021. Even the 60Hz screen doesn’t bother me at all, because I never exceed 60Hz except for mobile games.
  • Inversion: Look at the angle. If you are looking for a cheaper phone, that’s not bad (especially with software support). However, if you already own a Pixel 4a / 5G, then 5a is a bit disappointing. Maybe the Pixel 6a (fingers crossed) will offer more features at the same price.
  • jury_rigger: No 90Hz, no sales.
